All aboard the hype train. Choo choo. Last year London DJ/producer Actress came out with an LP called Splazsh, and lo, it was great. Minimal, cerebral post-dubstep if such a thing even exists. Dance music you can't really dance to, Actress' music has an otherworldly quality that is swirling, hypnotic and easy to get lost in. Crisp, measured beats underpin dreamy tracks that seem to slowly spin round and round, unravelling as they go.
